Question on Jogging

Hi, recently i started to train up my body. I am turning 21 in 3 months and my height is 169cm and weight 53kg

I want to burn some of my fats on my stomach and my thighs and acheive a lean flat stomach and 6 pak.

I recently started jogging. But i have a question. I usually jog at around 7~8pm in the night. I was wondering whether should i have my dinner first or should i jog first.

And i have been doing crunches to get 6 pak.

Am i doing correctly?

I have read that it is better to run after a meal. But I also read the opposite. However, I would suggest running before dinner, but not breakfast.

Crunches are great, but they wont give u a six pack alone, you can't spot train mate.

Your diet is the most important part, trust me. Good luck, heaps of info here.

My friend told me that i should eat first. then wait around 2 hours before going for a jog.

It sounds reasonable as if i didnt eat anything, whats there to burn?

So what kind of exercise besides crunches can i do to acheive 6 pak..

based on my BMI i am kinda underweight. But i do have a bit of stomach fats.

You could split your dinner

It would be strange but it would work if you are willing to do it

half before exercise and half after

you can add to your abs training some core stabilization exercises
like planks and side planks

Also some bodyweight exercise circuits but just focus on what you can do now.

It sounds reasonable as if i didnt eat anything, whats there to burn?

If you train with an empty stomach your training eficiency decreases, your motivation to train harder and to keep exercising also decreases. Also when you decrease your energy intake your body starts using muscle as energy and not fat.

Is not about what you burn during your workouts, is about creating a creating a metabolic effect during your workouts that will increase your metabolism during the next 24 to 48 hours. After 48 hours of not doing exercise your metabolism returns to normal levels.

If you are a beginner stay jogging and increase the intensity every week. Don't stop your workouts even if you don't see changes.

If you can jog for a long time then you are not a beginner increase the intensity of your workout.

Try to do some sprints (like 5 times at the start of your run) when you jog and if you take care of your diet you will notice your body fat decreasing a lot faster.

Keep exercising and be patient. You may not notice the changes in your body but they happen faster when you are consistent and determined.

Good luck and keep working.

Run after you eat a meal
