Sport question about whey protein

well ive taking whey protein a few times...but now im gonna start taking it everyday...and i was just wondering do u take it before or after workouts..it didnt say anywhere on the bottle
 
Both. You should be taking it before/during and asap after workout. What are your goals? You should add some carbs in there too like gatorade powder. Or check out something like Surge from Biotest for your workout shakes.
 
i use nitro-tech whey protein...i didnt know what kind to really get but i talked to the guy at gnc and he said it was one of the best...but im not a big fan for the protein stuff its nasty..
 
OK first off, don't EVER, EVER talk to the guys at GNC, they are on commision and usually dont know a damn thing.

For whey protein I would stick with ON Whey, 5lbs for about $23 at www.bodybuilding.com store. Also probably the best tasting.

Ok lets start over. Right now you have just whey, what flavor, lets see what we got to work with.

i recommend getting some ON Fruit punch whey protein and mixing it with some fruit punch gatorade powder to start off.

Also you never mentioned your goals.
 
well i have strawberry...but my goals i just wanna get bigger i guess....i workout everyday now cuz i have wrestling starting back up...but since ive been working out lately ive gotten my bench and curls and everything up..but my body looks the same i just wanna get bigger i guess
 
OK in that case, right now you can use that strawberry whey, go to stop and shop or walmart and get a thing of fruitpunch gatorade POWDER.

ok, Drink (roughly): 15 (most likely 20) grams of protein, 45 grams of carbohydrate (high-glycemic like maltodextrin or dextrose) in 12 ounces of water--half 5 to 15 minutes before your workout, and the rest evenly divided every 15-20 minutes of your workout.

So just do the math and figure out how much gatorade powder and whey you need.

Also have you ever taken creatine? That is another thing you should look at.
