Question about Pierced Naval's

This question is for the ladies...

My wife had a Naval Piercing and the body rejected it, for several reasons....

Anyway, she is starting to work out and she will more then likely lose a few pounds around the midsection since that is the only area she really has any fat. (boy she would Kill me if she read this..LOL)

Ok my question is, should she hold off on the new Piercing until she gets her stomach toned? Or Would it be fine to have the repiercing done now and the body will adjust??

Her naval is healed and she can have it done now, but those with naval piercings, have you experienced any problems with losing weight?

Should she just get it done now and the body will adjust to it? or should she hold off and wait until her stomach is more lean? Has anyone had problems with their Naval piercings

Thanks in advance

well personally my belly button ring has gone through so much crap. first i had a really fit stomach when i got it done, then i got preggo and never took it out, so it stretch with my belly, and then now that some of that definately went down its adjusted back to more or less where it was originally, so i guess to anwser one of ur questions, yes it adjusts with what ur body does, however, i would personally say get the piercing when the stomach is toned, that really tells the piercer the best as to where to do it and ur wife will also know how it will look. i found it looked best on me when i had a flat tummy!
best of luck!
and dont worry ive known people whos bodies rejected it the first time, and then they got them repierced and it was cool after that.

Thanks

Yea, my wife is tiny, so she had some clothes rubbing against it...and the main reason was, we were at a club one night and dancing a bit "close" and it actually got caught on my pants..LOL so it ripped a little...and soon after that...well it came out.

But yea she is just waiting for it to heal, still a little red and tender...She is thinking since it is still tender waiting until September, So we will work her out and hopefully get her slimmed down by then. She doesn't have much to lose, just the "pooch" as we like to call it on this board! :p

that's what happens to my piercing, if it gets rubbed or the least bit irritated it's so hard to get it to heal up again. it really just is a pain in the ass. i still have mine, but have thought about taking it out when that keeps happening. this is the second time i had it pierced, b/c the first time the guy pierced too much and it was tight as hell and it wouldn't heal at all, so i had it removed and went back a year later and had it done again. now it just gets irritated easily, so i have to be careful. but what i wanted to say was, i don't think it matters if she gets now or later, especially if she doesn't have to lose too much.

hey lillian

It is funny, because the problem witht he first one, was that it was not long enough, so it would really be hanging, next time we want it a little longer.

I read that it can take a year for it to heal and that you should leave the Initial piercing in for at least four months. Clean it daily with Salt water. But alot of them take a year to heal. So I think next time she will be more careful.

Plus she does alot of leaning on counters where she works, Pharmacist and since she is 5 foot...she often has to reach across....and it get's hung up on her.

Lesson learned that is for sure. Next time we will be a little more patient witht he healing process. Navals are stubborn.

but she is doing well with her work out.

yup...they're a pain to heal and as soon as you aggravate it the least bit, it takes forever for it to heal back up again, happens all the time..it's the only downfall and it really does get annoying after a while.

glad she is doing well w/her workout.

navals r very stubborn.

good luck to her with her new piercing. and i use h2ocean to cleanse my naval as well as antibacterial soap.

;)
