Question about my Diet

Hi everyone, i've been reading this forum for a few months now so i think it's time to say Hello.

Heres the short end of it.

I'm 33 and overweight. I really started thinking about my future last year, and in November i made some big lifestyle changes. The whole family now eats 100% healthy, whole foods and lots of veggies, triple check the labels and inredients on anything premade. I am also exercising regulary (3 to 5 Cardio a week, and 3-5 Weight Sessions and a daily 30 Min Walk) and for the first time in my life am taking a Multi Vitamin, some Vit C and Fish Oil capsules. I wasn't monitoring my calories much though, although i know they were MUCH lower than they were before (Bad diet of Fast Food, lots of snacks, lots of pre made meals). I have made really good strength progress but not noticing much fat loss. Could be hard to tell at this stage though, im only going by visual appearance and not a scale yet.

So a week ago i decided to look online and i calculated my BMR at 2200, and I figure i am moderately active so 2200x1.55 = 3410. I've been eating about 2000 calories a day for about a week with about 200 grams of protein (3 Shakes a day with flax seed, Egg White omeletts, Chicken Breast and Veggies). I am also taking hydroxycut. I find my energy is ok, i get some decent workouts in, some not too good but overall seems ok.

Is this too low, i was reading about starvation mode and stuff, but also read of alot of people getting good results with a good calorie deficit. Then read how weight lifting you need more calories.... Ugh. I dont want to waste my training by not eating enough, but i really want to burn this fat....

Just hoping for some feedback i guess, would hate to do this for a few months and not see any progress (Eating the same thing everyday is getting a little repetative now, although i treat myself every now and then with a granola bar)

What was your weight when you started and what is it now?

Do you always FEEL hungry?

A lot of friends of mine use a nutrition program called Body For Life. You can google about that program.

To Up the exercise, consider P90x. It's a 90 day program and is designed to get you ripped. See .sig for more info on that and also of course google.

I was about 245 when i started.

Not sure now, havn't weighed myself yet. Gonna buy a nice scale that measures bodyfat soon.

I dont usually feel hungray, a little bit in the evenings.

I'll look up the 2 programs you suggested. Im pretty happy with my exercise program so far though, i bought some equipment and record a couple shows from cable.

Most body fat scales aren't accurate - so I wouldn't spend the extra money on that feature...

Get yourself a tape measure instead and keep trackof measurements...
