question about lifting and cardio

I just started working out again this past week, I'm 5' 6" and weigh about 155 lbs. I plan on working out M W F, I did a full body workout and then did 20 minutes on the treadmill. I would like to gain some more muscle but my main concern right now is lowering my body fat, my main problem area is my stomach and chest. I still plan on lifting heavy weights to get stronger but I was thinking about doing more cardio to get rid of the body fat off my stomach and chest, was thinking about doing cardio 4-5 days instead of 3, once I get rid of my gut, I'll cut back to 2-3 days of cardio for about 20 minutes and take in more calories to gain muscle. I would like to weigh between 155-165 but have a lower body fat than what I have now.

If I'm lifting heavy and doing 4-5 days of cardio for 20-30 minutes, I know doing cardio 4-5 days will cut down the muscle gains but is it still possible to gain a little?

Does this sound like a good plan?
