Question about John DeFranco's WS4B lower body workout day.

Here is the template for John DeFranco's "Westside for Skinny Bastards III" dynamic-lower body workout day.

I have some questions about one specific exercise: box jumps. I'm not really doing squats at this time, so I've chosen to get started with box jumps. But the reps and sets seem kind of small. I mean 5-8 sets of 1-3 jumps? Do I just rest after that? I tried this last week and I wasn't really tired. I set the platforms at my gym to about as high as I can probably jump on my own. Should I try another exercise? I only really got super tired when I was doing more reps in a given set.

Plyo exercises are not supposed to burn or make you tired. You need to work on explosive movement for the purpose of recruiting your motor units to fire faster.
