Question about cardio and weight training..

I recently started lifting weights again...and this time around I'm incorporating cardio with the weight training. I'm a young guy (25) and am in pretty good shape even though I haven't necessarily kept up with any form of training regimen. I'm what you would call a mesomorph I guess. Anyways I've read that it is best to do my weight training first to avoid fatigue, and then tackle the cardio portion. I'm fairly accustomed to lifting regimens as I have lifted seriously several times in the past. I've been doing my normal regimen i.e. Back and Biceps, Chest and Tris, Shoulders and Legs and doing cardio every day. I do the workouts every other day. I've been pushing the cardio pretty hard. I've never incorporated this in the past and want to know what a good amount would be? Been trying HIIT on several different machines, and really like the fact that it pushes me to really get after it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated...

If you could provide me with some goals that you would like to accomplish through your training, I would be better able to help answer you questions and provide you with some information.

Thanks!

Okay, no problem. I don't have a high body fat percentage, though I've never had it measured I don't carry fat anywhere but on my stomach and a little on my sides. Don't get me wrong I'm still an athletic guy. I'm 6'1 196 lbs...as I previously stated I was lifting weights just 3-4 months ago and had some things that happened in my life that came up. I'm back at it. Sorry, I'll get to the point. My main goal is to trim away that midsection and hopefully reveal some abs. I have a decent build so I'm hoping if I trim away at that it will look uniform to the rest of my body. Do you think if I continue to lift eod and do the cardio and HIIT that this will work for me? Thank you for your help/suggestions..

When it comes to loseing weight and toning up, just getting active and staying active will help your accomplish this goal. If you want to train hard and see serious results, then you have to train the right way.

I always suggest people who want to lose weight to do complex training. A complex may look something like this.

hang clean
Hang snatch
Overhead squat
High-box step up

Perform each exercise 4-6 times at a fast speed. Make sure you have good technique, if you do not know how to perform these exercise let me know. After going through it once you will complete 1 set. Perform 3-4 times with 30-60 second breaks between each set.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

This probably sounds bad, but I don't know how to do any of those exercises. I've done a lot of exercises, but my goal was always to get bigger not necessarily cut. If you could give me just a general rundown I'm familiar with most movements and machines/equipment in the gym. Thanks again man.
