Hello everybody,
I recently decided it was time to stop having oatmeal for breakfast and switched to fruit smoothies instead. Oatmeal was causing bloating so I had to quit it.
Anyway, I was just wondering if perhaps fruit smoothies will cause more weight gain for me because of all the sugar. This is what I put in my smoothie on a daily basis each morning:
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 small banana
1 tbs omega 3 oil
1 scoop protein powder (sugar free)
1 cup Hood milk (30 calories, 3g sugar)
Throughout the rest of the day I usually don't have any more fruit except for an apple. Also, along with the smoothie I also eat a Kashi Honey Almond Flax granola bar. Would it be wise and better for weight loss to not eat the granola bar with the smoothie? It has 140 cals, 19 carbs and 5g of sugar.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me! =)
P.S. In case you need to know, my workout regime consists of a mix of cardio kickboxing and circuit workouts daily.
P.P.S. I was also curious about the omega 3 oil...since it is high in fat would it be wise for me to avoid other high-fat foods for the rest of the day? Like peanut butter, for example.
