Sport Quality carbs - noodles???

Sport Fitness
hey

Whats the general consensus on egg noodles? I treated myself the other night to a stir fry and realised there was 7.5g of protein in one serving of noodles, with 40g carbs and almost no fat. They contain only wheat and egg and to me they sound ideal.

Im getting better at including complex carbs post post workout. But brown rice takes 25 minutes and i eat late as it is so want a quick option. Im keeping breads to a minumim so 3 minute noodles sound ideal. As im trying to cut a little to shift a couple of wobblier bits before i bulk again, im wary of carb intake (for wary read careful, paranoid, obsessed, confused).

i believed i should be minimising post wo carbs but the statesman of this site told me that was wrong. however i dont like going to bed feeling carbed up (i eat at 9, sleep at 12) so want to make sure im taking in the best foods i can.

for the record, i hate having to train late - it'd all be much simplier training earlier in the day, as then the evening meal becomes less important. as it is i half want to avoid the carbs past 6, half want more to fuel training.

Egg noodles are simple carbs, not complex carbs. They're okay for a dose of protein and carb. I wouldn't think of them as an every type of food and there are better alternatives, but that doesn't mean you can't have them sometimes.

If you're talking about stir fry every time you have you egg noodles account the oil too. If you're buying this from a restaurant you may ask what type of oil they use and how much just so you know how much fat you're eating.
