PWO Supplement "Power Load"

So I went to GNC tonight after wrestling to pickup some more whey because I just ran out. (got Double Rich Choclate and French Vanilla Creme) When I went to the register, the guy told me about some free samples they had. It's called "Power Load" He said it's a PWO supplement. I'll read off the nutritional facts...

My question is...what do you think about it? Does this seem like a good thing to be taking? All feedback is more than welcome. :)

"Total Carbohydrates 38 mg

These are the important ones. You myst mean 38g of carbs, if there is 12g of sugar.

I wouldnt bother. for you to get a good amount of protein (28g) you would need 4 scoops, that would make 152g of carbs, and 48g of that would be sugar!!!

Whats the point?

Just take a multi vitamin. If you need extra carbs, eat some oats, or brown bread. There is no point having liquid food when you can have whole food.

Remember its a suppliment, not a substitute.

Alright, Russ. Thanks for the replies :) I definitley see what you mean. There was just alot of things I've heard were good, but didn't really know much about that were included in here, which threw me off. I'll take the 2nd packet next friday night, so that I can have that extra goodness for my first match on Saturday the 9th, and be done with it. Plus, I think it's pretty expensive which is always a bad thing. ;)

anything that contains a mixture of things will always be expensive.

Yes all that stuff in there is good for you, But its gonna be so much cheaper to buy them seperatly.
Creatine is cheap as chips, I'd never buy a product with creatine already in it.

And I would never use a product that gives you such a small amount of protein.

I was trying to find the price online. I found the site for it (would have been much easier to put this instead of typing the facts )

I see what you mean. Before I used it I was reading the supplement facts and was pretty surprised to see only 7 grams of protein. You'd think they would have more in it.

I don't know the cost, but on the back there is a coupon for 3$ off. So with the gold card and that, it won't be like 15$ because they want to make $$$ so I just guessed it being a good amount.

I take a good multi everyday, have whey when needed, and have no idea what BCAAs are. lol

BCAA = Branched Chain Amino Acids.

They help with protein sythesis, aid in preserving muscle (by preventing catbolism) and maintain nitrogen balance.

It just seems like a sugary multivitamin with a bunch of amino acids which aren't hard to get in your diet anyway. If you're taking a multivitamin already then buying it would be a waste of money.
