Sport PWO protein

I have been consuming a PWO shake consisting of 45 grams protein which also includes maltodextrin and dextrose to replenish my glycogen stores.
My question (maybe stupid) is do I need the same for the days I only do HIIT or cardio work as well?

I have been do this after every workout, is this wrong?
 
No need to replenish glycogen stores after cardio unless you are running in a marathon. I consume a pro/fat meal about 30 min after my cardio.
