Sport PWO nutirition, how important if cutting

How important is PWO nutrition if im cutting? If my concern isnt to bulk up right now, do i really need to rush to get protein into my system or is just the overall protein intake throughout the day the only thing i need to worry about?
 
i'm cutting and I just take 100 percent whey or a met-rx meal replacement shake after strength training only. So about 3 times a week. Which is good for building some muscle but still cutting at the same time. if you were in a bulking phase you'd want to take whey protein 3 times daily even when not doing weight lifting.
 
i was more concerned with the "window of oppurtuntiy" in which i need to get the protein into my body PWO. I know its most effective when taken immediately PWO but, like i said, since im cutting, do i really need to worry about timing?

Yes I think it would still be beneficial to have your PWO shake. I highly doubt it will affect your cutting.
Correct , it will not affect cutting at all. Just make sure your diet is in check for the rest of the day.
 
ok maybe i phrased the question wrong. I want to know is it beneficial to cutting if i get that shake in within 30min or so of the workout, or does timing not matter as much while cutting

Yes, timing matters. A PWO shake is most beneficial when consumed within 10 min following your training.
