do it until your shoulders and arm hurts

I would add some weight to your back to increase resistance. If you can do close to even a 100 in a single go, not enough weight.

Types of Exercise

Push ups

hey evolution

i weigh in between 116lbs and 121 lbs nd i am 14 years old. don't u think thats enuf weight, if u don't den tell me wht i shud do. if u don't mind

I didn't make any reference to your weight but that if you're able to do that many bodyweight reps, then it's time to use some weight. I said a 100+ but if you are really able to pump out over 30 reps, then it's time to add some extra weight.

Start with 10-20 pounds and work from there. Your body is not doing as much work as you think it is if you are doing that high of reps and it's time to force it to work harder.

This is actually not necessarily the best idea. If your form is good, your pecs should hurt more than anything, and they should run out of energy long before your arms/shoulders do. So focus on isolating your chest during pushups.

One way to improve the results is to do pushups at different angles. For example, put your feet up on a chair and do reverse incline pushups. Or put your arms up on a stool and do incline pushups.

You'll find that doing exercises from different angles and ranges of motion let you isolate muscle groups better.

You can also do variations such as 1 handed push ups and vertical push ups.

try doing the push up slower
