Psychological impact of large weight loss.

I'm sorry, i am new here and I have a worrying situation, so I thought I'd ask if anyone here has been through the same (or even heard of it happening).

I'm a 32yo female, 5ft 2+half inches. my top weight ever was 298lbs. Last Nov, I was 266lbs. Through calorie counting/eating healthy and exersize I am now down to 188lbs. So whats the problem?

I can't see it.

I have empiracle evidence that I have lost weight. I have gone from a UK size 32 to a uk size 20/18. I have clothes i used to wear that are large on me, yet my mind cannot see the weight loss. When I look in a mirror the *old me* still looks back. I know this is not *right*, but wondered if it was an isolated *me* thing or if anyone else has gone through/is going through this. I am so worried that I have made a dr's appt. to discuss it.

Thank you to anyone who can help, V.

Do you take pictures? Pictures definitely help.

Thank you for your reply. I have taken photos, still cannot see it. I've gone clothes shopping and tried on larger sizes that used to be tight to convince myself, still not working. Drs tomorrow though.

send the pics to this site and hear what a transformation you had from the members of this site.. i think this would help..

I agree! Maybe you might be in denial! : )
