Protien powder..Help me Please!!!

Hi, I just bought some whey protien powder yesterday... I am trying to cut down my body fat! Im just wanting to tone, so my questions are... Is it going to make me bulky? Will I gain more body fat? Is it a bad idea to drink 6 scoops a day with what I'm wanting to accomplish? Im not working out at the gym, I'm just doing stregth excersises with dumbells at home, along with cardio. Should I try to cut my body fat down then do the protien... I'm so lost Please help!!!

Whats the grm of protien per scoop and whats the cal rating on it
???

protein doesn't make you bulky...eating excess calories make you bulky/gain fat.

make sure you're tracking your calories adn where they come from.

i dont know too much about that powder, but by looking at you sig, your 21, 5'7", and 130? that aint to bad. it doesnt seem like you would have much body fat at all. i think that the powders are more for gaining weight(muscle mass) not loseing it. but im not sure. i think just stick with a good diet and do the cardio. i have, and in the last 3 weeks ive lost about 7-8lbs.

all protein powders do are add more protein to the meal plan. now of course if these calories are not accounted for and you end up intaking more then you more burn off, then off course you'll gain weight.

6 scoops is too much. food first and foremost, then supplement to fill in the blank spots ;)

there is 100 calories, 4 carbs and 21g of protien a scoop, I just want to TONE! I'M NOT LOOKING TO LOOSE WEIGHT!! How can I use the powder for my advantage if I replace it for breckfast and drink it before i work out? That would be 2 scoops a day.

again, the purpose of a protein powder is to add more protein to the meal plan. if you're having trouble eating a certain amount of protein then thats where the powder will come into play.

in and of itself, it will have nothing to do with what you want to accomplish. but using it around a training session if food isnt an option is a good idea. or having it with a meal to add more protein to that meal is another idea :)

If you want to increase muscle tone then you have to decrease body fat=losing weight.

Until you really start paying attention to how many calories you're consuming then you can't make a lot of changes to your physique. If you want to make a difference, then count your calories.
