protein vs amino acids

someone explain to me ....is it better to eat or drink protein so my body can make amino acids....or should i just take amino acids. am i wasting my time with protein supplements? thanks
 
Protein is made up of amino acids sir, your body doesn't do much making. The only difference is in protein, the amino acids are all strung together, but don't worry, your body is perfectly capable of breaking them apart and using them.

Also, buying amino acids is usually expencive. For example BCAA supplements. If you just take whey instead of BCAA you'd get at least as much of the BCAAs as with taking pure BCAAs at a lower price.
 
IMO BCAA`s are one of the best pieces of ammo to have in your arsenal. I would keep them in your diet for sure...
 
Just worry about your protein, and get it from a good source. Forget about the BCAAs
