Protein Shake

I do not eat the five small meals a day and probably never will. I do eat x3 healthy meals a day though.

Should I be drinking a shake after working out in the evenings and have no dinner or a small meal?

I work out at 6pm 5 days a week, weights and cardio.
 
Having a protein shake after workouts is recommended.
 
I'd always heard 2:1 carbs to protein. 3:1 maybe for bulking.

But yes, drink it IN ADDITION to your last meal.

I urge you to aim for 5-6 smaller meals. I can lose body fat and improve energy without exercising JUST by changing to 5-6 smaller meals.
