Weight-Loss

Hello all... I'm just wondering about how to get protein haha and if that's what I'm even looking for...I've always been a big dude ( 6'1 round 280-290lbs ) and dealt with it pretty good I figure but now I'm looking to lose some weight and keep it off...I've cut out almost all the bad things, no more white bread, no junk food, no pop all things like that. Exercise is still kind of a working phase as I go to camp to work for 8 days at a time, although work is physical most of the time. On my days out I try to ride my mountain bike or go for walks as much as I can, even moved a stationary bike in to watch movies and bike on the not so nice days haha. Anyways I was just wondering about getting enough food to keep me going haha. Sometimes I get that feeling of weakness and dizziness kind of like a diabetes feeling I call it, but I have been to the doc and diabetes is a negative. This has to be caused by me not getting enough of something yea ? Also are protein powders good to just give you extra protein your not getting from food if your not going to work out hardcore while drinking them ? Any help greatly appreciated...Thanks....

Chicken and Cottage Cheese are my main sources of protein, I eat quite a lot of both! Ideally during weight loss I'd say you should be getting all the nutrients you need, including protein, from your normal daily diet, rather than taking supplements.

When you're having to eat protein through clean foods I've found that it can become pretty expensive. Have you considered taking protein shakes? They seem to be the best way to get me through a workout, whether that's in a placeboic way or not I'm sticking to it.

i am on a high protein diet and low carb diet much like you want to do

i get all or most of my protein from normal foods.

Tuna chicken eggs and so on but i do have one protein shake a day
i use whey protein its the fastest digesting protein
