Protein Bars?

Are these actually good for you? The past two weeks I've been having one before working out, only if I haven't had time to eat. They're nice cause they fill me up with carbs and give some energy for working out, but are they designed for pre or post workouts? They are protein bars so I would assume post, but that is what my shake is for. Are the bars even necessary, and if not necessary will they even make a difference? Like I said, they are only for when I don't have time to eat food before working out. Thanks
 
Like you said, we only use them if we dont have time to eat properly. they are still processed and in a perfect world we wouldnt go near them. But if you dont have time and it fits in with your daily intake then you dont have many other options.

The only thing you can do is make your own or prepare another carb/protein snack like a sandwich or wrap.
