Sport Protein absoprtion question

Dunno if this is the correct forum for this but figured it was close enough.

I've been thinking about this some lately... I know it's most beneficial to have some sort of recovery meal/shake within the first hour after working out. But- say you're doing a full body workout, would whichever muscle group you worked out first still benefit from the protein as much as the last group you worked, since they've already had some rest time? Hope this question makes sense...

I figure as long as your body is still in "burn" mode, all the protein would be absorbed the same throughout your body?
 
Haha, that's a cute question. I used to wonder if I had time to stretch after weight training before I had my protein recovery shake... but yeah timing is important and the window is like 90 minutes to ingest protein and carbs after a workout to increase recovery and protein synthesis, maximizing gains.

But to answer your question... no it's not "spot" obsorption.
