Problem With Both of My Calves.

Okay. So I do like 5 different stretches for my calves. Pushing the wall, folding legs while standing, toe touch, leg stand and stretch, and one where I sit on my calves.

I usually do M.A. so I kick somewhat (No I haven't injured myself ever). But the other day I was playing football and all of a sudden BOTH of my legs gave up on me when something splintered (most likely the muscles, I honestly don't know) in my calves. I could feel the curves of my calves out of place then I stopped and rubbed it out. It sort of went away only a tiny bit. And I tried stretching today but if I do strenuous things like anything involving my calves I'm afraid it'll mess up. Suggestions anyone? BTW, throughout the years this has happened before where one of my calfs would act stupid and splinter even though I stretch. I hate the feeling and just want to take a knife and cut it out or something, please some one help. Thanks.

sounds to me like it may have cramped up i dont think its anything to worry about, happens to all of us.

sitting on your calves stretches it???? seems more logical to me that you stretch the quads (mostly rectus femoris muscle) and the extensors of the lower leg.

and the toe touch is more of a hamstring stretch exercise then it is for the calves.

it does sound like cramps though. it could be that you drink enough water, or you overloaded your calves with too much exercise maybe...

So it does stretch when you sit, I feel it (the muscle I stretched out during the wall press.) reversing in. And so toe touch for me does work my calves and my hamstrings too 'cause I feel it in my calves (don't know about other ppl).

Drinkin' water is bad? I'm not supposed to drink if I don't want cramps? don't get it. Anywho I'd rather have shin splints, I could still run with it but cramps in my calves? That's where I apply pressure from my toes to run on usually to go fast. Damnit, how do I get rid of it fast? Cause I feel like I'm pretty soon about to get a knife and cut this damn thing out.
