This doesn't really have to do with running per se, but... I was doing some intervals on slopes with a friend, and we checked our pulses on some of the light ones. He was 140 and I was 120, but I was distinctly more winded than he was. We couldn't get accurate readings on a big slope because of rapid rate decrease, but again my pulse was much lower, a false 130. But I was pretty much gasping at the top, whereas he was only doing some major huffin' and puffin. My resting pulse is around 55. Do I just have a good heart and inefficient lungs? Weird.
