Precor S3.23 question

Good day
I am looking at the Precor S3.23:

I know that it is sold under different names in different countries..., this is for the family use so want to stay away from free weights except for some dumbells..
Has anyone used this system..., I have tried it on the sales floor comparing it to other systems.., it is far more versatile than anything that I have seen or tried before.
I have looked at the bowflex, and organizations that sell it and cable systems say that the BowFlex is excellent for theraputic training.., but for general workouts and toneing it does not have the right feel as it is a spring starts out easy and progressivly gets harder so the resitance is not the same through the motion..

Sheesh, $2700?!

I got a rack, premium bench, Elite powerblocks to 90lbs, 389+lbs Olympic barbell and swiss ball for much less than that and I still need to get mats and maybe a step platform. I think my total will be around $1700.

The reason that I am considering the $$$ is family..., 2 boys that will soon be interested and my wife. We work different hours an cannot spot for each other.., with a cable gym if you get into problem, you just let go.., if a weight gets on top of you letting go will probably make the situation worse.

There are cages with spotting bars and my own rack, the has spotting arms.

I never have a spotter, because I don't workout with anyone.
