Pre/Post workout snack ?

I am looking for some ideas on pre & post workout snacks.

I am starting a M-W-F workout routine based on my work schedule. On these days my workout will start around 3:45-4:00pm. By this time, i wouldve eat at 7:00, 10:00 and Noon. I am figuring a Pre workout snack 3pm and a post at 5:00 or so. Dinner would follow at 6:30.

My goal is to lose weight and increase lean body mass not necessarily to add bulk.

Any ideas?
 
I just happen to have a similar schedule as yours! Here are some ideas of what I eat pre-post workout.

3:00 pre-workout

2 hardboiled eggs and an apple
2 tbls of natural peanut butter and oatmeal sprinkled with cinnamon
small container of 2% cottage cheese and banana
Slice of 2% cheese and handful of grapes

30 min after workout (post workout)

Protein Shake blended with banana or frozen fruit.

Dinner shortly after consists of a well balanced meal.

I usually eat some form of complex carbs
(whole wheat bread)
A high BV protien
(whey isolate, eggs, ect.)
Small unsaturated fats
(nuts of some kind)
And i take Animal Pack Multivitamin.
it keeps you pumped and includes amino acids.
ontop of being cheap.
 
do i have to wait 30 mins after my workout to have my protein, or can i have it right away?

They say you want to have your shake immediately after (within the hour) which will increase recovery and protein synthesis.
