Sport Post Workout

I was wondering what I should have post workout?

I have Muscle Milk I take that before bed not post workout.
Heres Post Workout thoughts:
10 oz of water
Glass of Milk( If I could get this after a workout even)
Banana

Help me I need it !
 
Milk is a good PWO. You could always get powdered chocolate milk and add it to water. There's always CytoGainer. Lately I've been doing powdered gatorade, BCAA chew tabs, and tasteless whey.

I'd say don't worry so much about it and just get something in you. Of course, there's good, better, and best but if you're getting some protein and carbs in you...then you'll be fine. In fact, just hit a Golden Coral all-you-can-eat buffet right after you workout ;)
 
Complex carbs and protein, If your gonna have your protein in liquid form that's fine but have some complex carbs too i.e. oatmeal, potato, yam. You can have your banana too just not as your only carb pwo.
 
abear. good article. Im doing basically what it says.

Postworkout:
35g-40g whey protein
1/2-1 cup dry oats + 30-50g dex (75g total)

I have the whey protein and dex.(dcg) is what I picked up. Suprisngly, the guy at muscle mag never heard of dex by itself and nearly sent me home w.out it!

Im thinking of just having a chocolate chip granola bar for 1/2 cup of oats. Not sure what else I could get. I don't want to go out buy a box of dry oats and bring a baggy everyday to the gym.
