while i've read articles and theories on post-workout meals and types of food that should be consumed to help the body grow and muscle repair, here is a more simple question:
what do you guys do for the post-workout "lag"? it seems when i get some w/ my workout(i feel tired out, but that "good" tired/drained/sore). i get in my car to head home, 15 min or later i'm just exhausted. i make dinner(salad, some protein, some carbs) but then after that it just seems to be worse. soon i'm yawing, etc and next thing i know i'm done.
while i realize some of it is "food coma," it's annoying. i wanna enjoy the nice evenings while i can. so to you experts: what do you eat to get that "kick" back in your step after a workout?
maybe im just not fighting off the tiredness enough, but i just wanted to get the input from other folks here....
