Post Work Out Shake/Drink Recommendations

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a good post workout protien shake/drink? I want to do more cardio after lifting, but I want to feed the muscles.

Premixed in a bottle... preferably.

Thanks in advance...

my fave is "rapid recovery drink by worldwide. it has protein and glutamin in the drink and carbs and it tastes good too (esp the grape!) its really good for post cardio and lifting or right in between the cardio and lifting. half between half after the cardio part

If you want a pre-mixed post-workout drink then get some Fast Gain XXLs by USA Strength Systems.

If you can bear with mixing it at home then grab some Surge by Biotest...excellent stuff!

Then you can always mix some Cyto Max with some protein powder.

Or if you feel like playing around in the kitchen, get some BCAAs, whey hydrosylate, maltodextrin, and glucose...mix it up and perfecto.

i just do a 5lb container of whey and a huge tub of dextrose and take my servings from there. also doing a banana and might add a little bit of milk some kind of way. ;)

Anyone have any input on Myoplex Lite? That was recommended to me for extra protein - but after using a full box of it, I am not sure I notice a difference (if there is one to be noticed from a drink?).

TIA

Basket Lady...the Myoplex Lite is a waste. The stats on the Myoplex Carb Sense are much better and "liter". These are more just protien drinks though. I don't think they are meant for post workout...but I could be wrong.

Maybe I need to ask the question...what should you be intaking after lifting weights? I can see a clear commonality with all these drinks.

check out the 2nd post in this link

typical recommendations are whey and sugar but the ppl who mostly push this are also pushing supplements. theres no need for a boatload of sugar pwo like so many have been misled to believe. :)

wow evolution, that post was really helpful !! Thanks for posting it. I thought I've known enough about post-workout meals until I read the article =)

I found a pretty good bargin in a shake at The Vitamin Shoppe. Looks like what I need.
