Sport Post Work Out Meal?

Sport Fitness
Hey yall, quick question. 9 times outta 10 when I get home from the gym, my wife has dinner ready. If I eat immediatly after I get back from the gym, then take my multi-vitamin, do I still need a PWO drink?

Thanks.

A pwo shake is VERY important.

You should eat about 1 hour after that and be sure to consume a clean carb and lean protein.

if you eat the dinner then no, you dont need the shake. how long does it take you to get from the gym to the crib (house :D)? maybe you could down it in the car before you leave

Takes me bout 10 mins to get to home from the gym. I usually have a shake about an hour and a half prior to my work out. I get in, and dinner's usually on the table. Waiting wouldn't be an option, as A) it's 7pm, B) I'm hungry C) My wife is patient enough to plan meals around my schedule already, don't wanna rock to boat;) . Our meals are well balanced and always include protein, carbs and veggies. After my meal, I take a multi. I'm not tryin to get huge, mind you, just want to add/sustain about 15 more pounds of good lookin muscle on my small framed 5-9 160 pound body.

aha, i see

personally, my personal opinion :D would be what you're doing is fine. speed of absorption after training is not as huge as issue as some make it out to be.

so in other words, dont rock the boat :)

Unless you didnt get enough cardio at the gym. ;)
I usually drink a shake, then wait a bit and eat a nice high protein meal. If you have the latter, then you should be cool.
