Weight-Loss

Hello, Few months ago I succeeded in reaching my weight goal but now I still feel like I could gain weight anytime soon. I only eat under 1000 calories each day and I feel bad for what I've ate.

I only eat in the morning and after, breakfast and lunch, no dinner. Using fitday to track my calories I've become too compulsive to count my calories. The scale is not helping me either, even if I eat under 1000, the weight tends to flunctuate up to 3kg and this scares me.

Sure I can fit a size 31 jeans now, but I'm certainly not happy with my eating habit.

You honestly shouldn't be happy with your eating habits because they aren't healthy and you know it...

Have you considered talking to your parents and getting you medical attention for what really seems to becoming an eating disorder... Check the site ... you've got many of the symptoms. The rest of your life is going to be a long time -you need to get far healthier habits sooner rather than later...

Honestly I don't even know what's healthy anymore. I even avoid rice and breads. Now I only eat frozen nuggets for almost 2 weeks already.

Yeah, it's not really a fattening.
This is a screenshot from my fitday,
Most of the time I eat lower than that, around 750 cals.

Edit: Yes, I'm serious Darth Vader, sorry if my posts is offensive. Look at my previous threads.

Heh, ok just making sure.

First off your diet is complete SHIT and you are 16 years old. So now you've completely risked your health for how you look. You need to find your maintenance caloric level and SLOWLY go back up to it. You need to eat the right amount of calories... will your body gain weight? Maybe, but it will even out once you restore balance to your metabolism...

you've got virtually no fiber in your diet
no fruits
no vegetables
my bet would be excessive sodium from all the processed foods your eating...

Spend some time with teh stickied threads iin this forum...

YEP... read. Then when you are finished, read it two more times. You are talking to two VERY successful people who have gone through the SAME shit you are trying right now. It isn't worth the damage you are doing...

i wouldnt call myself successful - i'm no where near where i could or should be.. but that's not mastersync's concern...

MS's issues seem to run far deeper than what he is or isn't putting in his mouth... but instead what his head is telling him...

and ya gotta fix that...

Yeah, I guess I have to start eating more but healthier choice of foods. Any recommendation for foods ?

Darth Pooh, your weight loss is amazing!

My point wasn't to toot our horns... but just to let him know we've both been down that road before and it's better to hear it from people with experience rather than people with just the knowledge of nutrition (if that makes sense).

And stop... you are VERY successful. Are you completely at your GOAL? No, but you know how to get there and are doing the right things to get there... so that in itself is successful. You are in the 150+ club... if that isn't success, than you just called me a total failure.

I don't think we can EVER fix people's heads either... getting them to read some information and letting them take away what they will is up to them. We can only try to point them in the correct direction.

Start with fixing one meal at a time...

What do you currently have for breakfast?

What's available for you to have?

I'd start with fruit - maybe a yogurt or hard boiled eggs for protein and some whole grain cereals.

Try breakfast for a few weeks then move on to fixing lunch then the big kahuna - dinner

Thanks bud.

My diet is fairly repetitive but works for me... I take in about 2000 cals a day but that is still a caloric deficit with my BMR and daily activities.

Oatmeal is GREAT, rolled oats pretty much. There are even ones out there called Weight Smart Oatmeal, perfect stuff.

Peanuts, Almonds... I weigh everything out, so I have a serving of those at least once or twice a day... becareful those add up quickly at 170 cals for 28 grams. But they are a GREAT source of fat.

I make my own chili or turkey sandwich on whole grain breads and 2% cheese. Low fat yogurt, low fat cheese sticks, carrots for lunch.

94% fat free popcorn is a GREAT whole grain treat, 210 calories for the whole bag.

Kashi Cereal has a lot of good choices, I like their Original Go Lean or Go Lean Crunch... great sources of fiber which you need, with a bit of skim milk.

These are just SOME examples of the stuff I eat everyday, I know Mal has a ton of great foods she eats too.... <cough YUCK cottage cheese cough>

Peanut butter and apple or banana w/ some cinnamon ona whole grain tortilla is a great to go breakfast -- filling, protein, fiber -- lots of good stuff..

I usually have rice with eggs or nuggets for breakfast, but I will usually just eat the nuggets or eggs to avoid the rice.

I have many frozen foods available but my mother cook meals from the scratch and I will usually avoid that too as I do not know their nutrition weighs/cals.

Fruits, I eat oranges, alot. Maybe 3 oranges in one day.

I will try to include yogurt in my next meal, thanks maleficent.

I never oatmeal appetizing, just from the looks though, I have to try it sometimes.

Yes, I gotta replace my breakfast with cereals so I don't feel to guilty eating more.

Is 1500 good enough for me ? I do a little weight-lift at home everyday to make sure I feel good.

Thanks Darth Va..Pooh.

OOOOH...sounds GOOD. My girlfriend takes in a PB and J sandwich for breakfast every morning. 200 calories and she loves it... it's like she is 5 again. Because if she has enough calories in the evening for a snack, she'll eat it again.

I keep forgetting you are also 16, so what is available to you is more important as well.

Have you used an online calculator to calculate your BMR? That is the amount of calories you would need just to pump blood and oxygen in your body if you stayed in bed. Plus you walk around and do other shit... so that adds.

here's a novel concept for a teenager -and I'm not tryin to be sarcastic here -just honest..

TALK TO YOUR MOM...

Tell her what your goals are and ASK her what she's cooking - or help her in the cooking and tell her that you want to eat healthier... it wouldn't kill the entire family to eat healthier as well -and what she's cooking is goin to be far better for you than processed stuff...

I do talk to her and she even said I'm getting too skinny. Damn.

Yep, my BMR is 1799. No wonder I feel lightheaded everytime I stand up from a sitting position.
