Post Cardio Meals/Supplements?

Hey guys, i've been wondering what a good post cardio meal would be for fat loss. I know i want good clean carbs to recover, but what are some reccomendations on foods or supplements?

after my cardio i immediately drink a bottle of propel (50/50 watered down), then about 10 minutes after my shower a protein shake made from: apprx 10 ounces cold water, one scoop whey protein powder, half a banana, 3 strawberries, and a tbsp milled flax seeds. i blend it all together. i find it really re-energizes me, and it's very low in calories and fat.

Not to mention carbohydrates - which are crucial for a post-work-out meal.


eliktronix - some clean carbs I would suggest are cream of wheat or rice cereal, oatmeal, brown or white rice, baked potatoes, maltodextrin/dextrose powder. And whey protein is super for pwo - the protein is faster absorbed than other types.

for my pwo meal, I have 1.5 scoops whey and a bowl of cream of wheat cereal w/ some blueberries
 
SF, do you think i should add some carbs to my PWO shake? how could i do that with something i could blend right in? thanks.

definitely try the suggestions above, eliktronix, they digest quickly, taste good, are good for you, and really recharge you afterwards. oh & i sometimes take a motrin with the shakes - helps when you get a bit older like me, LOL!
