Sport Porridge alternatives

Sport Fitness
Hi folks,
I am currently trying to drastically change my diet and lose some weight in the process and all the diets/ healthy eating things that i've seen seem to say that porridge for breakfast is the way to go... The thing is that I don't really like porridge in fact I hate the stuff (its all the lumps).. So what I was wondering is what alternatives are there to porridge? I don't know if they do this in the states but I really like Ready Brek (prefer the honey flavour) and I also like weetabix too so are these things alright for you and would they constitute a reasonable alternative to porridge????

Oatmeal is great for breakfast, but it's not the only way to go. Theres plenty of healthy things to eat in the morning, you'll want to include both carbs and lean protein into your meal, and of course if you're trying to loose weight it's imperative that you keep track of your calorie intake throughout the day. You'll want to eat something that'll give you energy and tie you over till your next meal.

Some ideas:
-Whole wheat English muffin + egg whites + lean Canadian bacon
-Whole wheat bread/toast + natural peanut butter + fruit
-Egg white omlette + toast or brown rice

Or you could always try to add more water/milk to your porridge to make it less lumpy, or try adding things to it to make it delicious (I usually slice up some banana and put a little peanut butter in mine. Just some ideas

As for the Ready Brek, I don't know much about it, how about posting the nutrition facts?
