I put a post on the newcomers forum asking if anyone remembered me... apparently not:rotflmao:
Anyway! thanks to the support and friendship on here, I managed to get 7 stones off and KEEP IT OFF and also, rearrange my life to have more exercise. Hubby and I walk, cycle and swim. I've started a new diary because last time I was on here it was mostly losing weight orientated and now it is healthy eating and exercise focued. Hope to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

Hey Polly, how nice to hear from you! I never stray far from the diaries so I hadn't noticed your post.
Great to hear you're being so active together. Losing that weight and changing your ways a bit has made a huge difference if I remember you telling us about your old aches and pains.

Good to have you back :grouphug:

Seeing you back just put a big smile on my dial :D Welcome back Polly!!!!
7 stone? Wow! Was it that much. That is incredible. You made so many positive changes. It's great to have you back. You will be a really good influence to the newbies xoxo

Hello both. Oh it is so nice to catch up with you. I've really missed the both of you. The holiday went really well, we are off to Scotland on a coach tour mid November (I'm packing bed socks and a hot water bottle) Then we have a cruise booked for early April, French coast and Channel Islands. When we get back we are going to look into getting another dog. We miss our old lab so much. We would like a smaller one now, a west highland white. Marcus says I don't look right without a dog to fuss over.
Autumn is really with us today, a nip in the air and time to shake out the winter woollies. I am filling in for a friends daughter in her little part time job while she is ill. I don't know how the heck I got into this mess. Three days a week she collects up the eggs from the free range hens in a farm close by. I didn't think it would be that arduous because I didn't realize you had to first move the hens off the eggs and I don't like feathers. So I use a bit of stick I found in the grass to poke em off. There's this evil brown and white one who just won't shift. She just looks at me with a 'Bring it on if you think you're hard enough' look in her eye and on top of that she's got a vicious looking beak. I'm looking for a longer stick;)
We are having a lazy Sunday. I'm cracking on with knitting Marcus's socks. He's getting a bit short.
S.W. tomorrow. We never realized we would make such good friends there because most of them are young enough to be our children. Have a lovely Sunday both.

Welcome back Polly :D So pleased about your wonderful loss - how has it changed things for you guys?! Bet life is very different now?

O wow, you guys ARE active! I don´t envy your chicken duty: can´t breathe in a chicken coop.. Brrr!

Hello...

I was attacked by chickens when I was little so they do have more of a mean streak than most people realize. The stick is actually a good idea.

Oh, Polly. You do make me smile :) I'm so glad you & Marcus are gadding about & having a wonderful time xoxo

Well, before we took ourselves in hand, we just sat, watched TV used the car to get to places when we could have walked there easily. Now, we swim, ride our bikes ( and it wasn't that long ago I had to be helped on to an exercise bike, and then I still managed to fall off) walk every day for at least an hour and generally have a healthy diet. OK we have a treat now and agin but by and large we shop and cook healthily. Our lives have completely changed and we are very happy

Managed to cut my foot when I got out of the swimming pool this morning. Fell over a float:oops: No sts but had to be helped back to the changing rooms via the first aid station. Manned, I might add, by a lad who could have been a Chippendale.

Nothing wrong with a little eye candy ;)

What were you saying? ;)

I'm still alive! Having little jobs done around the house before winter sets in and we have been in a heck of a mess. I'm having a new bike for Christmas. Do you remember first time I came on here? I had to be helped onto an exercise bike:smilielol5:. I've moved on a pace. My friend Sandra has a cross trainer, but she's not very good on it. She didn't come to Knit n Natter ( a crafting circle) this week because she strained her hip, so I don't think we will get one.
Great speculations here that Prince Harry will announce his engagement to Megan. I think she's lovely and will do him good, but I'm not an ardent Royalist.
Lovely fall day today, the leaves are magnificent such beautiful colours. We are off the aqua aerobics later on this morning
