Plyometrics

So I was going to build a plyo box this summer and do some box jump stuff with it. I had this pretty intense routine from high school football I remember.

My goal is to imrpove my quickness, strength, vertical leap as well.

Any other suggestions? I have a weighted jump rope also...

Here are some ideas you could do with your box and bodyweight. Single or double legged jumps onto box. Straddle jumps. Jump on, off and then over the box. Explosive step ups. Vertical jumps. Burpees. Lateral jumps onto or over the box.

In addition to resultspt's list, I would add split jumps (jumping from a right lunge to a left lunge). Then I would recommend that you find a small hurdle, about a foot high and do side-to-side jumps over the hurdle -- one foot hops and two feet jumps.

Also, if you can buy a book or a video, I recommend anything by Carlos Santana or Paul Chek.
