I hurt my back on the job Sat. and have not done any kind of exercise since then (I did 30mins of cardio in the morning). Now since I have not done any kind of excercise, including cardio, I feel like I am gaining a lot of weight. I have kind of cut back on eating some things .. have really tried to stick with a lot of protein, and kind of cut back a little on calories (even though I eating between 900-1100 a day when I am excercising .. I know that's not good, trying to up it though). Am I gaining weight by not doing anything, or is it just all in my head? I feel AWFUL, but I don't want to hurt my back anymore than it already is. I am going to wake up tomorrow and see how I handle doing my cardio, but I really don't want to gain weight not excercising like I was.

Or am I maybe losing some weight since I have cut back on my eating, and am still eating all the right things?

I'm sure you're not gaining any weight if you've done what you've said.

You are either maintaining or losing albeit at a somewhat slower pace than before though I'd guess.

Anyway how badly is your back hurt?

You been to the doctor at all for it to see if you got a ruptured disc or something like that??

I've hurt my back twice in the past week at my job .. my job is heh .. can't really say much about them. Been to the ER twice with it, and I followed up with the doctor yesterday. They say not to be doing anything for a few days, or until I feel like I can do it. I will try it out tomorrow.

I pulled my middle and lower back muscles pretty bad. Sunday I could hardly walk, and couldn't stand up straight .. couldn't even put on my own shoes =/

Back injuries are evil, I have done my back a few times. Avoid lifting anything of course, but just walking should help keep the muscles from really freezing up. Last time I hurt my back I went for walks and I really believe it helped more than not moving at all.
