hello everyone! i really need your advice... i am 21 years old (female) and when i started my diet i was 60kg and now i'm 53 kg.. i lost this weight within 4 months i think i was eating around 700-1000 calories a day.. my bmr 1300 (without any exercise) but i do exercise..
so! my question is.. now that i reached my goal how do i maintain my weight? i have read hat is you lose weight fast you gain it all back and i don't want that to happen.. what do i have to do? if i start to eat normally (let's say 1300 calories) will i gain the weight back???

Hi Dusty
You will only gain it back again if you eat more than you burn, but you have probably heard that.. but its still true.
If your BMR is 1300 and you eat 1300 you wont put on weight.. thermal dynamics.
What is best though is keeping your blood sugar low during the day and having your carbs after the gym in the eve.
Dont worry about counting calories, with protein in each meal, a little good fat .. you will feel more full.
So many people have toast or cereal or a cereal bar for breakfast which leaves you hungry.
Greek yogurt, some dark chocolate or walnuts.. much more filling for breakfast as one example.
End of the day , you wont gain it back if you eat 1300 as thats the calories your body needs if you sat down all day.
Add in work, gym .. you will be burning a couple hundred more than that anyway.

Dusty, if you return to your pre diet eating habits, you will regain weight, with maintenance, slowly add in more calories until you stop loosing, add in to many and you will gain. Maintenance is keeping everything in balance and can be harder than simply loosing.

Thank you for your answers!! Of course I don't plan to go back to my old habits and overeating (which caused all this weight gain ) I just wanted to know how to keep the weight off even if i eat just 1300 calories it's okay to me as long as I don't get fat again...

Hi Dusty
If you are eating around your BMR then you won't
When you exercise, say burn 200-300 calories in the gym then you again, can eat 200-300 calories that day and not gain fat.
That's in general, but I hope you get the idea.
End of the day, you can go up from that 700-1000 and be fine

Hi Dusty,
5 years ago i lost 40 lbs and since then i maintain my weight.
How I am doing it?
First, changing my lifestyle!
Second, I eat healthy and not fat food, going to gym 4 times a week, drink a lot of water, eat vegetables and fruits instead of fat snakes and do a lots of healthy activities during the day.
The main thing I do everyday is mentally. Whenever i think to do something that will cause gaining weight (like eating peace of cake), I immediately remember how I looked before the diet and how I looks today. This always works for me.
finally, my friends say to me that they enjoy eating fat and not healthy food. I always say that now I enjoy different things like buying clothes, going to the beach and not be embarrassed and mostly feeling great about myself.
I hope I helped you.

Avi
