I am new to this site. I just setup an account today.
I am looking for some advice on nutrition. I am 31yr old Male. Approx. 5’11â€, 200lbs
I just recently joined a weightloss competition at work and I started at about 205 almost 3 weeks ago. I am down approx. 5 lbs, but I just want to know if anyone has any tips/advice. First I will let you know what I am eating and what excersice I am doing.
Breakfast
½ Grapefruit
1 protein bar
Coffee with milk and sweetener
**Sometimes I include a hardboiled egg
Snack
1/3 cup of almonds
Lunch
1 Can tuna w/ 1 tblsp tzatziki
1 greek yogurt
Snack
1 greek yogurt
Dinner
1 grilled chicken breast on a whole wheat Pita with lettuce/Spinach and 1 tblsp tzatziki
I have calculated the nutrition, and I seem to be around 1400 Calories per day, with a 16/38/47 ratio of fat/carbs/protein
For exercise, I am basically running for 30 mins/5 days a week. Every second day, I also add in situps and pushups.
The competition goes until May 28th. My goal is to get to about 180-185
Am I on the right track?
Oh, and I do have one cheat meal on Saturday night… We usually get a pizza and a few beers etc… I know alcohol isn’t good, but its one night a week.
