Please Help Me Stop The Bingeing

In order to help you I need a little information for example what do you eat in a day?
 
a good way to stop binging (like I'm one to talk, LOL :p) is to remember to HALT - and think of your reasoning for eating...
H - Hunger (Go ahead and eat, if this is the reason)
A - Anger
L - Lonely
T - Tired/Bored

If it's any of the latter three, find something more productive to do instead!
Also, try waiting 15 minutes before eating. You may find your cravings go down!
 
the biggest part of being on a diet is your willpower ... will power to exercise and will power to eat right. You will find the more you remind yourself of things like Star mentioned (HALT), the stronger your will power will get and the easier it will be to say 'no' to bing-eating
 
i found that since I eat more often (5-7 times per day) I don't get as many cravings. I love sweet stuff, especially chocolate and icecream, but often I am just satisfied, so I don't even want the sweets.
 
I've found that if you get rid of your favorite binging foods and replace them with healthier ones that you will binge less or binge on the better alternative.
It's hard to get rid of your favorite comfort foods but first find a replacement that
you like, ex. I replace regular chips with reduced fat pringles and only eat the serving size or less. And I love strawberries so I use those to replace sweets. And I love soda
full of sugar and empty calories, now replaced with crystal light, only 5 calories a serving! Good luck ...Tina
 
It sounds like you already got some great advise. I have the same problem. Just keep trying. And if you do binge try to stop yourself before filling stuffed. Don't come down on yourself when you don't do as good one day just try to get right back on track. Good Luck.
 
if you need to binge, limit yourself. don't grab a full bag of chips ... get a bowl and put some in it ... don't allow yourself to take any more.
