Please Help! I have some questions ! ! !

hey to all and thank you for tryin to help me if possible, my name is john and i am 21, i am 5 foot 9, i was at 213 pounds 7 days ago i am now down to 205, my goal weight is 180, i am using hydroxycut hardcore, drinking only water (almost a gallon a day) and my diet consists of oatmeal and a cup of fruit for breakfast, lunch i usually do tuna on whole wheat sandwhich w/fruit, for dinner i alternate between grilled chicken, steak, salmon, tuna, w/ fresh vegetables and fruit, i have lost around 8 pounds in a week, i know most of it is water weight but i am starting to tell a difference in how my clothes fit and people are already noticing a difference! my workout rountine consists of 45 minutes of cardio (walking/jogging), 30-45 minutes of ab exercises, 30 minutes or so of dumbell exercises, i do this 6 days a week, is there anything else i need to be doing or not doing to reach my weight goal of 180 pounds withing a couple of months? please help if u can! I've the honorary forum mother around here -so i'll tell you that pills are dangerous... no one really knows what the long term effects of them will be -they go thru very little testing and you've got one body - please protect it... and get rid of the pills.. put that money towards a stylish new wardrobe :)

your diet seems healthy - any idea of the number of calories you're getting in a day? it seems as little low to me - and that would be the reason for your weight loss - NOT the pills.... you might want to record those calories to track where you are...

Im not an expert and Im ssure that Leigh, Steve or Tony will weigh in - but I don't think you should be doing weight training every day - you want to do that on alternate days - and what's the weight of your dumbbells?
 
thank you for your help, i do alternate days on weight lifting, i usually only do dumbells every other day, if i do continue my diet and exercise about how long do u think it will take for me to get down to 180?
 
every body is different - you're 25lbs away from where you want to be... and the more you exercise you might gain some muscle weight so don't get too hung up on a number - but more what you're seeing in the mirror and measurements and how your clothes fit...

but 25 lbs at about 2lbs a week (which is about 1 percent of your body weight) you might accomplish in 12 - 14 weeks - which is 3 -4 months...

the slower and more consistently you lose weight, the better the chance it will stay off.. so it's not a race... slsow and steady will get you there...
