I've been playing drums for like 6 years...HELL YAH!

and i'm in a band right now! woo!

what instruments do YOU play? :beating:

I play a mean air guitar... and air drums to -but only with Phil Collin's In The Air Tonite - (abouot 3 minutes into the song.. :D)

I can read music and play the piano with my right hand, but I never mastered the coordination to play with both hands at the same time...

Ukulele of course!

Big fan of ukulele. If you follow my link in my signature you will find my website with tons of tunes, originals and covers you might not expect to hear on uke. One of my latest for example, is the Spiderman Theme.

Ukes rule. Been playing 5 years'ish

I also play harmonica(20 years) and can sorta kinda play a couple different Chinese traditional flutes(learning).

But ukulele is my passion.

Funny thing, at my heaviest I would go busking in the trendy part of my hometown. Pretty funny looking really. 300 pound dude playing 2 of the smallest instruments out there. My electric uke is puny, so I got lots of funny looks.... But also made $50+ in a couple hours every time....

I play bass, although grudgingly at the moment. Trying to get scales and the likes absorbed into my fat head but I can't really be bothered with it all. My secret passion is blues guitar. I love Clapton, BB King sort of blues, along with some Hendrix, Townshend (love The Who) & Brian May.

Really need to do more ear training....

piano, guitar, voice, a little organ, and some pan pipe, and some recorder. and a tiny bit of flute. (scales mainly, can't seem to get my fingers to jump from one note to the next)

oh, and bongo drums.

I played piano most of my life until i broke my arm senior year of high school. Here at college I don't have room for a piano but I would love to start playing again.

I also bought a bass guitar but broke my arm before I could start to learn that.

I played the clarinet for a short time in middle school :) I would love to learn the piano though. My grandmother and alot of my dad's side of the family play the piano extremely well..

I play the guitar, mainly. I can get around on a bass guitar, and the drums as well. I can sing a little bit as well ;)

I play classical guitar, mallet percussion, most brass instruments. Trumpet has never been my strength, but I marched mellophone and tuba in high school, played on the drum line at Auburn University, marched tuba there for a season, play F altonium and Eb alto horn when I get the notion, and my forte is French horn. I started playing that in the 6th grade, and played it through high school and it even payed part of my tuition while at Auburn.

I puke out ugly sounds on my jazz bass.

More serious musical skills involve 10 years on trombone, 6 on the trumpet, as well as 6 on the drums.

I nearly became a music teacher.

I just picked up an acoustic guitar. I'm going to be taking lessons next week. My goal is to play 30-60 minutes a day.

I play second fiddle all the time..:rotflmao: Actually i don't play any musical instruments, but I wish I played the piano.

I play the piano...badly!

Seriously, as a child I wanted to play violin but was forced to take piano lessons for 6 years because we had a piano in our home, and my sister and mother play beautifully. In 6 years I never progressed beyond beginner. I had no interest in piano, didn't like piano and don't even like the sound of piano music to this day. (Sorry to all the piano lover's out there...it's just not my thing.)

My mother used to always say "someday you're gonna regret that you don't know how to play piano". The only regret I have is that I wasted 6 years of lessons on an instrument that I hate...LOL!

I have always regretted that I never learned violin. It finally dawned on me a few months ago at the age of 43 that I can do whatever I want, including learning the violin! I have since purchased a violin and am currently taking lessons. I'm loving every minute of it! :)

Musician/teacher

I play viola/violin as part of my living. I'm an orchestra director/conductor and had to learn to play every single instrument for my degree. (Play may actually be too kind a word for some of the instruments I learned - I can make sound come out of any instrument, but you might not want to be there for my oboe playing...oy...) But I do actually have a performance degree in viola.

To follow up on Curves Ahead, I have taught a bunch of adults to play violin and they get so much out of it! They are always really tense though...so relax! You'd be surprised how far you can go with it! It is tons of fun!

I can not play guitar at all. I have no idea why. It hurts my fingers so much! But I play a stringed instrument, so I've never understood...
