Plateau conquered

I just have some words of encouragement for those who have been stuck on a plateau!

After losing 30 pounds in a couple of months I plateaud and lost almost nothing for an entire month.

I made the adjustment of increasing the intensity of exercise and eating more. Instead of doing 90 minutes of mindlessly easy cardio 4 times a week, I now do 45-60 of moderate intensity HIIT 5 times a week. I also incorporated 15 minutes of strength training every session.

Also, my net calorie intake, after taking exercise into account, was around 1800-2000 calories. I increased that to 2200-2300 calories. I thought I'd gain weight initially then my body would adjust and id start losing weight again. It did not happen. I have lost 4 pounds in less than 2 weeks! I never felt this good or energetic before, and I can see almost as much difference in the last 4 pounds as the entire previous 30 pounds!

I'd like to thank all of the wonderful people on these forums, specially experts like steve, who taught me so much about the process of weight loss. :)

That's great! Congrats on overcoming the plateau and you are very welcome for the info. Thanks for the acknowledgment.

Proving, yet again, that you need to eat to lose weight!!!

Congrats!

Congratulations! What wonderful news. Breaking thru a plateau is great!

Best wishes,
