Sport Plain Soda Water???

Sport Fitness
Guys,

Have been pondering this one as of late.

Soda water (not flavoured Soda) is it bad?

Here are the contents:

Carbonated Spring Water...

The Nutrition info is as follows:
Energy - 0.0kj
Protein - 0.0kj
Fats - 0.0
Carbs - 0.0
Sugars - 0.0
Sodium - 22mg
Serving = 275ml

In light of the above, anything that is carbonation a bad thing?

Cheers,

Steve.

I think is better if you could find seltzer water, the one that doesn't have sodium, so you don't have to worry about how much sodium you are adding to you diet just from your water. I don't know if carbonation is a bad thing but I know that it makes some people feel full so they may not eat as much, but in my case it makes me feel like a balloon :D , so I prefer to avoid it.

Although, I read that based on a 2000 calorie diet, the sodium you should consume is around 2400mg per day but around 1500mg for people with a history of heart trouble or high blood pressure. And for example, a can of chili may contain 2400mg by itself.

So my point is, most foods contain sodium already if you could find a seltzer water without it will be better. But if you don't eat lots of sodium on you diet then I don't think it will affect you at all. And The carbonated water you drink doesn't seem to have so much sodium on it either.

I was thinking that was going to be the case.

Thankyou for the your input, ill be drinking it over a long period of time as i enjoy it better than straight water.

Ill post up any changes that i notice but i dont think it will be an issue :)

Cheers,

Steve.
