Also I have found this: TESTOSTERONE NATION - Skin Deep: Nutrition and Good Skin

I have incorporated Selenium, Zinc, Chromium, and added fish oil into my diet. It has really helped. I bought the above at Bodybuilding supplements, discount supplements and diet supplements at ProSource because the supermarket stuff is weak. In Aus you should go to your own supplier to get more potent stuff.

When I was in my late teens I suffered through a terrible outbreak of acne. Go to your doctor, they have real solutions. I used a drug called acutane. It has taken some heat in recent years of increasing suicide risk but in my case though it cracked my lips and my skin felt dryer than the mojave desert it cleared up my acne. Though I have had random pimples from time to time the acne never returned like I had it then.

I took accutane when I was growing up as well and had to stop it after the 1st month because of how dehydrated it made me. Ages 15-18 was when my acne was pretty bad. and then it pretty much cleared up on its own after age 18. I tried proactive for a while a couple years ago for those annoying once in a while breakouts and that seemed to clear everything up nicely. It takes a while so you need to find some patience but it def worked for me a few years back. My acne wasn't that bad then but once in a while I'd get a breakout.

SmithMachine - how old are you?

I have never really had acne but a relative of mine came to stay with me for a while and in the time that he stayed with me his acne completely disaperared he attributed it to swimming everyday in salt water. I dont know how applicable or useful this is to you but I think it really does work.

Also I have heard drinking lemon water helps out with the acne quite a bit.

Other than products, there are a few things that made a huge difference in my skin (I used to have regular, super annoying break-outs):

1) Don't ever, EVER touch your face. Hands off at all times. (If you have hair in your face, then get it off your face, too...)

2) Make sure you are washing your pillow cases regularly (gross...i know).

3) Make sure you are using an oil free, hypo-allergenic moisturizer (your skin will need to be moisturized, especially if you are using harsh acne-fighting products). If your skin is dry, it will overcompensate by producing more oil. In fact, the more the humid the environment, the better my skin is...sounds strange but it's true.

4) Take vitamins (Omega-3's seem to give my skin a nice glow.)

I used Proactive for one month, my face cleared up. Now I just use some stuff from the local drug store that is a proactive knock-off and my zits never came back.

Oh, tony, I thought you were being a smartass. I meant that if SmithMachine's hair (from his head) was laying on his face, it could cause break-outs.

Otherwise, beards are not my cup of tea, but of course, it depends on the dude. Do you have a scruffy or clean beard?

They are sexy and aeonteal knows it.

Hey, I'm not totally going to hate on guys with beards. Some guys probably do need to cover up half of their face.

HA!

(I'm proud of myself. That was a good one...)

Right now its short and neat. I usually let it grow out for awhile before trimming. Good facial hair genes dont run in the family.

dont have a beard but a stash and chin hair, only because people said i looked better like that
