You know - I remember a year or so, I was looking into going horse back riding with my daughter while camping in Big Sur. I couldn't go because at 257, I was 57 pounds more then they allowed.
It was a real eye opener that my weight was interferring with LIFE!
She's about 15 something, 15.2 I think and she's about 20 yrs old. It's so awesome that you work at an equine rescue too, and I agree that it's SUPER rewarding, especially seeing horses that are scared when they arrive, and then grow to become better!
Awwwww. I might just have to steal miss Jessie. Haha.
Gorsh. I love working at the rescue. They love for volunteers to socialize with the horses because they are so busy that they sometimes just don't have the time. Anywho, last time we got to groom sweet old Dixie. Such a sweetheart. Got to see them trim her hooves. And what's cool iss that when she came the vet was saying they should put her down because she had foundered so badly. And now she's sooo happy.
That looks like a nice place that you volunteer at! I love looking at the pictures.
This is where I volunteer -
Some of my fave horses are Cassie the white arab, Angel the blind horse, and Jingle Bells the mustang. :3
