Perspective for losing weight and keeping it off

Hi all,

I'm a first timer here on this thread. It's amazing to see how people are sharing how they are able to lose weight. But one thing that was missing was the know how to keep that weight off once lost. In my practice I see the standard average American yo-yo-ing back and forth. It's very frustrating for someone to lose 20 lbs then to put it back on in 2 months and then maybe more.

A little about me, I was in great shape in high school. I was always active in sports, but ate whatever I wanted. My habits carried over, but my activity did not. I graduated chiropractic school then proceeded to gain 35 lbs in the year following when I started my chiropractic office in Georgia. Stress was my culprit as it is for most, but not all. Instead of dealing with my stresses and frustrations I would turn to food and eat. Mind you I was still working out 2-3 days/week, but I was still fat and miserable.

Here's the thing, even if you lose the weight realize that if you do not take active steps like I did to change my perspective then you may be left with a feeling of unhappiness even though you lost the weight. This isn't a quick fix system. You need to work daily to "rewire your neurology" so that you can think differently. A happier person will not look to food for stress relief. A happy person will deal with it head on and stay the course.

So I was able to lose 25 lbs by doing a few things over the course of 6 months. One of the biggest things was to handle the stress, then I found meal healthy meal replacements, and I continued to exercise. Now it doesn't matter what I eat I'm still able to maintain my current weight.

I'm on the go a lot and needed something for when I was hungry at the office or on the go. I found an excellent quality product in a company called isagenix for stabilizing my weight by replacing some meals with shakes. Check out the isagenix website if you are interested in learning more about this high quality weight loss supplement that I use everyday. If you'd like to try it enter my username in the search bar then dot then isagenix dot com.
