Personal Trainers?

Im starting my diet this week, I've tried working out at the gym on my own and with friends. Now Im thinking about a personal trainer. Any advice, do they help? Things to look for? Im very new to the whole gym experience. :confused:
 
a personal trainer will definately help because he'll set you up with a program and do his best to keep you on it. Unfortunately, you will still need a personal chef to keep up with the 'other half' of the program :)
 
I think that most trainers at a gym will be knowledgable enough to get you started... I haven't worked with one before, but I have friends who have, and even just setting them up with a custom program that they could then follow was of immense help. Good luck!
