I created this personal challenge for myself, as my timing is off to join any current challenges on the boards. After only 1 week, I am feeling motivated and having fun, so I'd thought I offer my own challenge as a guidline for others to tweak and make their own challenge.

Jen's Personal Challenge-
Goal lose 15lbs by Christmas

10/23/08: 179.2lbs (ACK!)
10/30/08: 177.0lbs 15 daily points + 5 for weight loss = 20 pts WEEK 1
11/06/08: 172.2lbs 11 daily points + 5 for weight loss = 16 pts WEEK 2
11/13/08:
11/20/08:
11/27/08:
12/04/08:
12/11/08:
12/18/08:
12/25/08:

1 pt each day you finish your water bottle (7 max)
1 pt each day for eating on track (healthy foods/healthy portions-occasional treat allowed)(7 max)
1 pt for each day you exercise (max 6 pts - need one day off)
5 pts pr week for any weight lost over. 4lbs
Target is 25 pts pr week= 225 point max for 9 week challenge.

Rewards in addtion to losing 15lbs :
100 pts - Bath and Body works goodies
125 pts - Night out at the movies
150 pts - Pedicure
175 pts - New Jeans
220 pts - New Bike

Record daily in journal exercise, eating, and water intake, then total weekly on this thread.

Goal: lose 15.5lbs by Christmas

12/04/08: 165 (MY FIRST GOAL WEIGHT)
12/11/08:
12/18/08:
12/25/08: 160 (GOOD FOR MY BMI WEIGHT)

My points system:

- Every day that I exercise at least 30 minutes, I get 1 point (max 6 - one day rest)

- Every day that I stay within my caloric range, I get 1 point (max 7)

- Every day that I drink enough (2-3 liters) water, I get 1 point (max 7)

- Every day that I eat all "best choice" foods, aka NO JUNK FOOD (according to the weight loss plan I'm following), I get 1 point (max 7)

- Every day that I manage to eat my 5 servings of fruit/veg I get 1 point (max 7)

- Every day that I manage not to smoke a cigarette, I get 1 point (max 7)

- Every day that I manage not to smoke weed, I get 1 point (max 7)


So that is 7 possible points per day, so my total possible points in a week are 42. If my points go below 35, I should be worried. After each week I'll see where any points were lost, and create a plan of action to do better the following week.

I would like to join you guys too. I am new to the board and every other challenge seems to be so full or closed.....or not so welcoming. I really need some motivation, something and people who will motivate me on a day to day basis.

I would like to post my daiy experience rather than just write in a journal. Doing this is a way for me to let otehrs know what I have been through and also getting input. :) I think tomorrow begins a new day....
