Perscriptions

I have been doing weight watchers for 4 months now, and am enjoying great success. I have a doctors appointment at the end of this month, and i wanted to get some names of different perscriptions people have tried for weight loss, and what they thought of them, so i can ask my doc about what might help boost what i am already doing.

Not talking over the counter either.

Any input is much appreciated. :D

Just keep going with weight watchers...

You are making a lifestyle change that will last a lifetime - you don't want to add medication to that mix - some side effects from different medications - oh death - oily stools - the trots (word used only cuz i can't remember how to spell diahre..) really sexy side effects.

weight watchers is working for yo- stick with that... and keep going with that... you don't need the medication... seriously..

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I just wanted to ask my doctor about a few things. I have been heavy my entire life, and my current effort is a "do or die" situation in my mind. So, i wanted to have all the information possible, to maximize my weight loss.

Currenly i am hitting a MAJOR plateau. I cannot frakking push past my current weight. Its going on 2 weeks now that i havent lost, and i have really stepped up my cadrio and excersize.

Anyway, basically i was looking for information on results and side effects people have experienced, so that i can make an informed decision.

thanks for the support though.

ps ,male i'm a newbie, but i noticed you were going to enter the "summer challenge" in the challenges thread. I am going to enter it also. So should be lots of fun! :D

we try to keep the challenges fun -and we have a new one every month - or try to anyhow :) stick around :)

As for your plateau - have you kept track of your food intake and exercise - generally there's a reason for the plateau an a small change can usually break thru it...

you might want to ask in the harsh truth section 0- the experts are pretty gentle :) and would help you out..

I should just have a tattoo on my forehead - NO MEDS PLEASE - I know medication is necessary in some cases but - i'm not a big beleiver in them :D I went to a doctor recently who tried to push a prescription at me - and I practically took his head off :)

LOL....

I am also a bit cautious about medication.

One of the flaws i have is that i am INCREDIBLY impatient. I work really hard at my plan, and when i hit that plateau i get frustrated. Luckily that frustration makes me want to push harder, rather then give up, like i have in the past.

But i want to be 125, like....yesterday LOL.

I keep a food journal. With Weight Watchers you have a point system. Mine is pretty high, but since i have hit the plateau, i have actually cut 3 points for my allowance, and really upped my excersize. (my roomie thinks i am a maniac! :p )

Anyway, i'll try the harsh truth thread. thanks! :D
