Sport peanut butter

yes it is especially the natural ones. dont fall for the "all fat is bad" nonsense that many believe. the fats in it are mostly unsaturated.

anyone in the UK tell me where i can get natural peanut butter here? been looking for it everywhere! i can only find ones with lots of rubbish added - even in the health food shops! :(

neenaw,
any organic food stores that let you make your own PB? there's an organic co-op market here that has a tube full of peanuts, and you bring your own jar and grind it on the spot.

wow! that sounds amazing! have never heard of anything like that! i very much doubt anything like that exists here but i will look/ask around! thanks.

Peanut butter actually aids in fat loss, as long as you don't over-do it. Like already mentioned it's not the bad fat.

make sure that ingredients are only peanuts (maybe salt)

i overdue the omega 6 fats very easily so i tend to control my peanut butter intake

yeah, natty PB on a whole grain toast is a decent part of your first meal. add some egg whites to that, and you're golden. guys bulking up may need two slices of toast though, or add a bowl of oatmeal.

i have a question. so despite the fact that it has lots of fat in it will it be burned off easily and it does'nt get stored up, is that the reason someone can eat it if looking for fat loss??

Thanks :)

Without a certain amount of fat in your diet, the body will not operate properly. One good example is testosterone production in men. If you don't have enough fat in the diet, the body makes less testosterone, and test. is a hormone that helps reduce fat storage (provided the diet/exercise is good). Fat is also needed to keep the skin smooth and hydrated, as well as the hair and nails. It helps lubricate the body as well.

When we stop eating deep fat fried fast food and processed foods, your fat intake plummets. Even looking at my intake today, I'm sitting at a meager 25g of fat, or 15% of my calories. Because of this, I'll have a tbsp. of natty PB later tonight, or if I had some, Flaxseed oil (or a little of both).

Eating fat doesn't make you fat. Eating too many calories (fat, carbs or even protein) is what makes you fat.

A lot of sat fat nontheless, but I guess if you don't exceed 1 serving portion size a day you'll be ok. right?

bloc, peanut butter has alot of good fats (sort of an oximoron :p) but it's not really THAT bad for you. Or so I hear from reliable sources.

Also, just remember everything in moderation.

the body needs both saturated and unsaturated fats. the problem is that the normal American far exceeds the limit on saturated fats by eating fast food, eating fatty cuts of red meat (and pork) and using lots of butter. Then they don't get near enough unsaturated fat on top of that.

The sad thing is that processed peanut butters remove some of the original good fats and replaces the with saturated or trans-fats.

for a change of pace, pick up some natural almond butter. personally i rather the taste of this to natural peanut butter. but its expensive so i dont get it too often :(
