Sport Peanut Butter - The Verdict?

Sport Fitness
Hi everyone, hope we're all ok.

I started eating this around 6 weeks ago, as before i was put off buy the commercial, sugared and salted crap.. But then i tried the wholenut stuff as Mens Health said it was a 'health food'.

My god. Stunning stuff. So its packed with good fats, protein etc BUT i really cant stop eating it. I bought a jar yesterday (standard 500g i think) and its nearly half gone. I tend to have it around 11 ish in the evening but i have one spoon, then another, then i clean the rim to make it neat, then sod it ive had another spoon.

So are the bad fats in this stuff high enough that i should stop eating it? I eat almonds with bran flakes as a breakfast option, plus the odd brazil nut and often have a 100% natural fruit and nut bar as a snack.

My main goal is to reveal the bottom of my abs and shift what is a disproportionate amount of fat from my backside. Its far too 'wobbly' and i cant say ive seen any change since i started training hardcore 5 months ago, i do 4 weights workouts plus 4 x 1hr cardio plus football training.

Should i just cut out the peanut butter because of the quantity? i think because i dont eat any biscuits, sweets, cakes etc at all its become my vice.

Please help!!

Thanks
Ben

Ha i love the peanut butter to, but good fat or bad fat its still fat. You seem to be getting way to much fat for wanting to get lean. Having 2 tablespoons is okay, but killing off the jar is not (and i eat wonder light natural peanut butter which is pretty much the lowest fat peanut butter you can get). You want to see those abs you are going to have to getting leaner with your diet.

If i were you i would try and put more lean meat protien (turkey, chicken) in place of some of that peanut butter.

I'm not sure if the peanut butter I use is very good, if you could do me a favor - post the nutritional summary of what you guys think is the best peanut butter possible for you.

Thank you

i eat plenty of turkey, chicken and tuna, plus whey protein and even the granary bread i only ever use had 5g of protein.

I think i may just have to not buy it at all.

Sob.

I love my peanut butter, my favorite part is that its still very much like regular peanut butter in its consetensy (not all runny and juicy cause i wasnt a fan of that). Here are the stats and then the website at the bottom. Most health food stores carry it.

Regular Creamy

Eating some peanut butter is good, but dont overdo it. I was just at the store yesterday comparing stats and I found the best one to be Skippy reduced fat. I was checking the naturals but they have the same 16g of fat that the regular (Jiff...) ones have. Skippy is 12g fat, lower sodium and carbs, with 7g protein per 2 tbsp. I have been lately having about 1-2 tbsp a day.

Peanut butter is a good fat source however I'd stick to the all natural brands to avoid excess sugars.

I want this PB! I checked the health food store by my house and they don't carry it. The main page of the site is running but the contact and distributor info is down for some reason.
