I am less looking for help and more looking for comradery.
5’4
Starting=200, 8/1/20=189, Goal160
40.4% body fat, 32.5 BMI

Been tracking food/nutrition in Foodvisor. I traditionally have a lot of calories in addons like jelly, sour cream, Ranch etc. Tracking calories has helped me see the large caloric impact these have and minimize them.

I was much less weight a couple of years ago before starting a new relationship. Found myself at the bar eating wings/tater tots and drinking beer frequently in the new relationship and to the gym much less. Now, it is time to stop with excuses on 60 lb weight gain and do something about it.

Hey Peachy, good to see you started a diary. Mine has been a great help to me, I am sure yours will be to you as well.

I miss beer and bar food, but like you have learned the hazardous. Some people seem to be able to do that without gaining weight, guess that doesn't include you and I. Your tracking sounds like it is off to a good start, yes tracking and reporting is a great way to understand what your intake is and manage it. For me without tracking too many calories sneak in. I post my daily tracking to my diary, that helps both force me to do it, and I get a lot of helpful suggestions and ideas from others here.

You will find that here, we are pretty good at comradery. You may also find some things helpful, but no one will try to force anything on you. We all work to find our own best approach to exercise and diet, no set plans here.

I am looking forward to following your progress!

Hi, Peachy & welcome to the forum. You’ll find most of us to be supportive & encouraging rather than pushing any particular plan. What suits you is the best plan. Welcome to our little part of the world.
